Stephanie Smith and Rob Worster attended the 12th Annual Advanced Seminar for Guardians ad Litem for Children

On March 19, 2015, Stephanie Smith and Rob Worster attended the 12th Annual Advanced Seminar for Guardians ad Litem for Children. This CLE seminar focused on a variety of topics relevant to attorneys roles as Guardians ad Litems, including an excellent presentation by experienced licensed clinical social workers on the best practices for interviewing children, and a presentation by the Commonwealth Autism Service that was intended to help Guardians ad Litem learn to most effectively interact with and advocate for autistic individuals. The CLE seminar also offered insight from judges including: The Honorable Florence A. Powell from the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts in Washington and Smyth Counties, The Honorable Denis F. Soden from the Henrico County Juvenile and Domestic Court, The Honorable Anita Filson who sits in the 25th Judicial District Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, and The Honorable Nolan B. Dawkins who sits in the Alexandria Circuit Court.
