Stephanie Smith Admitted into the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers

CGG is bursting with pride over Stephanie Smith’s recent admission into the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers! Fellows of the AAML are some of the most well-respected family law lawyers in the United States. The application process
is grueling, to put it mildly. It involves a detailed demonstration of commitment to family law as a practice area and the successful handling of complex matrimonial issues; involvement in the improvement of the practice of family law (such as by serving as a faculty member for family law CLEs, as a professor of family law at a law school and/or as a judge in family law matters); and recognition by the bench and the bar as a leading ethical practitioner in the area of matrimonial law.
As part of the selection process, Stephanie participated in an interview with members of the Virginia Chapter’s Board of Governors, studied for (and passed) a written exam regarding difficult family law issues, and received recommendations from 5 judges and 5 fellow family law attorneys.
Stephanie is a dedicated, passionate, experienced, and talented family law lawyer, and we are so proud that she has joined Dan Gray as a fellow of the prestigious AAML! Congratulations Stephanie!
