Paula Gardner, Cheri Federici, and Joanne Randa attended the Fairfax Bar Association’s Seminar

Last week, Paula Gardner, Cheri Federici, and Joanne Randa attended the Fairfax Bar Association’s Seminar, “A View from the Clerk’s Window-Best Practices for Interfacing with the Clerks of Court.” The CLE was well attended by attorneys and office staff, who were all looking for pointers from the Clerks of the three Fairfax Courts. John T. Frey represented the Fairfax Circuit Court, Eric S. Barr represented the Fairfax County General District Court, and Barbara Moran represented the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. Dickson J. Young moderated and added his insight and questions. We each came away with a new respect for what the Clerks deal with day to day. We received some hints and answers to questions. Mr. Frey even suggested that we check out the Fairfax County Historic Record Division, located in the Fairfax County Historic Courthouse. Some of the historic records include a document signed by George Washington and George Mason and church pew deeds.
