Melissa Thurmond joined CGG in 2024 as an Administrative Assistant.  Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Melissa moved to Virginia in order to attend George Mason University for her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor at GMU’s Antonin Scalia Law School and works full-time with the firm.

Melissa’s relationship with her mother and brother is what inspired her to pursue family law.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, going out with friends and family, and spending time outdoors.
