Meet Leah L. Nathan, PhD

With over a decade of experience as a Licensed Clinical-Forensic Psychologist specializing in Divorce Coaching at Cooper Ginsberg Gray PLLC (CGG), Dr. Leah Nathan helps clients reclaim clarity, confidence, and control during one of the most emotionally complex chapters of their lives. She guides clients through the chaos of divorce by providing strategic insight into personality patterns, especially narcissistic, avoidant, or high-conflict partners.

Dr. Nathan helps clients understand their spouse’s personality patterns, build a strategic exit plan grounded in safety and timing, and prepare confidently for mediation, custody negotiations, and attorney meetings. Her coaching also includes managing communication with a narcissistic or high-conflict co-parent, using talking points scripts and structured communication tools to stay grounded, reducing emotional reactivity to preserve decision-making power, and rebuilding identity, confidence, and purpose after divorce. Her approach blends forensic-level clinical insight with real, actionable strategy providing clients with far more than emotional support and equipping them with a true psychological advantage.

Dr. Nathan also founded the Divorce Support Circle at Cooper Ginsberg Gray, a one-of-a-kind experience that offers clients a chance to connect with others navigating similar experiences. The firm’s clients consistently report feeling less isolated and more supported throughout their divorce journey thanks to the meaningful connections formed in this unique community.

Dr. Nathan regularly leads webinars and workshops on a wide range of topics, including managing narcissistic or high-conflict personalities, spotting hidden red flags, developing high-stakes negotiation strategies for mediation, trial, and settlement, rebuilding trust and identity after betrayal, and strengthening strategic co-parenting communication. Her webinars are known for being both insightful and practical, offering clients clear tools they can apply immediately in their daily lives.

As an active member of a Collaborative Divorce Group, Dr. Nathan delivers compassionate yet highly strategic coaching that prioritizes the client’s long-term stability. Her evidence-based approach integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques, emotional regulation tools, strategic framing, co-parenting guidance, and personalized planning, ensuring every client receives a roadmap tailored to their unique circumstances.

Beyond her coaching with Cooper Ginsberg Gray, Dr. Nathan has presented at Second Saturday Divorce Workshops and Continuing Legal Education seminars, and founded a thriving mental health practice, The Mind Center, with 20 clinicians and counting.  Her practice supports children, families, and school communities and is recognized for its innovative, client-centered approach.

Outside of her professional roles, Dr. Nathan is a dedicated mother of two who enjoys travel and creating meaningful experiences with her family.
