Alyssa Ortiz joined the firm of Cooper Ginsberg Gray in 2023 as the firm’s first-ever Paralegal Intern while attending Northern Virginia Community College, where she pursued her degree in Paralegal Studies. In 2024, Alyssa transitioned into a full-time role as a Legal Assistant.

Alyssa was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia. Before joining Cooper Ginsberg Gray, she worked as a receptionist at another Northern Virginia family law firm. As the sole administrative support staff alongside the office manager, Alyssa quickly took on a wide range of responsibilities beyond the front desk, including file organization, document handling, client communication, and calendar management. Through this hands-on experience, she developed a strong interest in case development and litigation support.

At Cooper Ginsberg Gray, Alyssa assists attorneys with discovery, case organization, and electronic document review. Alyssa is a member of the Paralegal Section of the Fairfax Bar Association and has a growing interest in e-Discovery and legal technology within the field of family law, with aspirations to specialize further in this area.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her close-knit family and friends. She is family-oriented and can be found attending weekend events, celebrations, or simply enjoying time with loved ones.
