Joanne Randa recently participated in Foundations’ (formerly Fairfax County Girls’ Probation Home) Career Day for the current residents. Representatives from the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Department, several teachers, and members of the Paralegal Section of the Fairfax Bar Association attended the career day to answer questions about their work, as well as their educational backgrounds. The emphasis for the young women was on the importance of education and continuing education to achieve their life goals. The young women even had a scavenger hunt to locate the representative who matched the biographical sketch on a check list. This was a good way to get to know each other and explore life options. It was our honor to be included in the presentations.
