23rd Annual Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards

Cooper Ginsberg Gray was honored to be nominated in the Corporate Volunteer Program category at the 23rd Annual Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards, primarily on the basis of the very successful Chipping in to End Domestic Violence Charity Golf Tournament – now in its 15th year! The Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards breakfast entitled “Oh, the Impact You Make!” was held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Waterford in Springfield, Virginia. The awards reception was hosted by Jeff Goldberg, TV Anchor at ABC7/WJLA. Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, Sharon Bulova, presented the awards. CGG was nominated in the Corporate Volunteer Program category in addition to Deloitte LP Corporate Citizenship Program, CACI Cares, and Level 3 Communications. CACI Cares won the award in this category.

In attendance at the awards reception were David Ginsberg, Morgan McMellen, and Robert Kotwicki of Cooper Ginsberg Gray. Also in attendance were Jolie Smith, Director of Development for Shelter House, and Joe Meyer, Executive Director of Shelter House. All proceeds from the Chipping in to End Domestic Violence Charity Golf Tournament go to the Artemis House, the only Domestic Violence Shelter in Fairfax County. Shelter House is responsible for running the Artemis House, Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter, and the Patrick Henry Family Shelter
